VISTA IS OFFICIALLY MAKING MY LIFE A LIVING HELL!!

I never thought I would rant about Vista on my blog. It makes me look like a dork!

Not that I’m not one. I just don’t want to look like one. Get it?

But here’s the thing… this is the first time I ever got to use an original OS which happens to be Windows Vista. You can’t blame me for getting excited. I did ask the laptop manufacturer if maybe, just maybe, I could get an XP instead of Vista. But the lappy came with Vista already installed in it with the backup driver (also with Vista in it!). Besides, they say that it’s built for Vista so even if I did install XP in it, it might be unstable. So it leaves me no choice.

So at first I tried using Vista. It seems good until it came to the part where I have to approve each and every change that I made in MY OWN FRIGGIN’ laptop! Now not only I have to approve it once, I would usually have to do it twice! And not just that, if I ever want to install software in my laptop… I have to find the ones that are COMPATIBLE with Vista. Mind you, it’s not easy finding “that kind of software” nowadays, if you know what I mean.

Being a designer is a bit demanding on the software part especially where I have to have the whole Adobe’s clan and 3Ds software and lots of other more software that I’m too lazy to list out. So anyway, as if that wasn’t hard enough, my laptop got attacked by a stupid friggin’ virus the other day which resulted to the formatting routine. But guess what happened after formatting my laptop? I couldn’t install a single darn Adobe’s software in it which after 3 weeks I found out why when a guy who works at the CD store where I bought my software tried explaining. So I bought another Vista Ultimate just in case what he told me to do didn’t work out. I tried formatting again, voila! My laptop is now ok.

So… you’re probably thinking right now “so why in the world are you complaining about Vista?”

Wait for it.

Me, being a total idiot, formatted MY PC which I currently use in my office (Yes, I have to bring my own PC to work) with Vista. (Ok, you can hit me now. If you ever can get a hold of me :P) and until today, I’m still working out on how to view the stupid files in the Temporary Internet Files folder that Microsoft feels the need to bury 6 feet under (security reasons my A$$)!!! Despite the fact that it was bury 6 feet under, after googling for TWO friggin’ DAYS I finally cracked it open! Yay!!! But my smile faded when…

I STILL CAN’T FIND THE FILES THAT I’M LOOKING FOR!!!!!!

So now I’m back to square one.

And…

I…

Give…

Up…

The first thing on Monday, I’m going to format my PC, throw the Vista CD into a REAL RECYCLING BIN (in which - THANK GOD - that I don’t have to ask permission from myself to get approval to throw my OWN stuff) and live a “permission-free-life” like I used to with my beloved PC.

FIN.

It’s already been like 3 hours since we make our way back to our hometown which is in JB.
By we, I mean, my boyfriend and I.
I don’t know what’s up with the CD player in my car, coz every CD that I burned from my lappy can never be played.
It’s either because this laptop’s OS is Vista or because the stupid CD player is just getting more stupid by the day.
It’s annoyying that I can’t play my favourite songs in the car anymore.
Plus with my boyfriend speaking martian language, it doesn’t help to reduce the boredom.*****

We stopped at Machap just now.
We’re actually near Skudai and guess what I just saw just now… an ambulance almost hit the divider! (finally I have something to talk about)
At first I thought that there’s no patient inside.
But apparently then I saw there was a nurse at the back of the ambulance, a man and an old man and a water line dangling on the ambulance’s ceiling, which means there’s a patient inside and the ambulance almost got itself into an accident!
The driver lost control and we’re guessing that he’s sleepy and he fell asleep while driving which is totally dangerous as he’s bringing 4 passenger including 1 patient.
The way that ambulance hit that divider was as the same as when we had our accident last year.
My boyfriend fell asleep while driving too and luckily he wasn’t driving fast.
But the ambulance is.
Being concerned about the passengers and the patient, my boyfriend actually followed the ambulance just to keep the driver awake by being aware that there’s a car behind and keep beaming if it ever swayed or went off lane again.

While he’s being a noble citizen, I was busy typing my entry and I actually thought that it was none of my business. Yes, bad, bad Nanie!

Well, those are one of the things I love about him; always being selfless and helping others.

Oh, will you look at that, I’m already here. In JB. Home at last.
Home sweet home.

P/S: Pls forgive my writing tonight. I’m a little err… distracted.

‘Till then.
Toodles!
