An Artistic Journey

So today’s my first day of internship at Trendz Creative Advertising. Or should I say my second first day of internship? Haha.

Work so far has been… zero to none.

My Creative Director is out and he’s the one who’s in charge of me, so I was left with nothing to do except to pimp my blog. You will notice some changes on the sidebar, also on the comment page.

I took the liberty to use this free time to really get into knowing Wordpress plug-ins and widgets. Because since the last time I tried using the widgets and plug-ins none of them have been a victory for me. I have also tried activating the chatbox widget at the sidebar but it left my blog looking lopsided. I was so disappointed that in the end I had to remove it and now I guess I’m pretty tired of googling for plug-ins and widgets. I’ll leave it at that for the time being.

I have to admit that I prefer this office better than the previous one. Although there are still no work cubicles but at least I don’t have my boss breathing down my neck all the time. Hehe. Also, everybody here is very laid-back. They can turn on their speaker as loud as they like to and left me unable to think properly while typing this. I hope by the end of this entry, readers will still be able to understand what I wrote.

The office’s interior is pretty nice too. Though this office is actually more like a shop (it has a front desk and a see through door, situated at shop lots area… You get the picture right?). This company I guess is more into Advertising prints. They don not provide website designing services here not that I’m complaining since I’m pretty weak at flash websites but since I know that I’m weak, I was hoping that I could learn more about it during my internship. But I guess now I’ll have to learn on my own. *sobs*

Honestly, I feel more relaxed here in JB rather than in KL or Selangor. Oh my God, if I’d have to do my intern there ever again or work maybe, I would take a place close to where I’m staying. I’m never going to go through the traffic and get up 2 hours earlier just to get ready to work and get there in time. And that doesn’t include if I want to have breakfast first. It’s soooo stressful and tiring! By the end of the day, I’m totally wiped out because on my way going home, I’ll be stuck in the traffic again. And the toll! OMG. The toll and the fuel price is just impossible! I mean, even with the allowances given, it was not able to cover up my expenses. What with my previous condition, of course I’d be tired of driving since I used my hands a lot to drive and do work. Throughout the end, I had to ask for my boyfriend’s help to send me to work and pick me up and it became more costly than it already is because he’s from Shah Alam and had to pick me up in Cyberjaya and drive me to Subang.

It’s also nice because I can have lunch at home. Yup. Mum’s cooking for me. She asked me to come home for lunch. Isn’t it nice to have a home cooked lunch? Hehe.

So I guess this is it for now.

I’ll do another one if I’m too bored.

It’s the end of my study leave.

So I went for my last holiday with my aunts in KL and we went to Sunway Lagoon.

Yes, Sunway Lagoon with my aunts and their family. Of course my boyfriend was being such a nice guy by accompanying me to KL (with me begging and dragging him to the Larkin Central to get our bus tickets). So altogether there are 13 of us.

I have to admit that our time was limited at the wet park because it was raining heavily by the time we got down to that area. But I had fun nevertheless and I have to announce that I hurt my butt riding the Cameroon Climb from as high as 15 metres and then shoot us (my boyfriend and I) up again for about 8 metres. If that was not enough, we also rode the Congo Challenge which we have to lie on our front on a sliding board and slide down God-knows-how-long-and-high-the-slide-is.

The only park that we did not manage to enter was the Extreme Park and the Scream Park. The Scream Park is a new theme park. Both which are not suitable for us who brings little kids. So, we decided not to buy the tickets. But I swear, the next time I go there, I will want to go to both parks as the Extreme Park has paintball challenge, flying fox etc, etc while the Scream Park has something that they call Prison Break Live.

Enough about fun and entertainment. Let’s talk about more serious stuff here. I’m starting my internship, yet again (I quit the last time, dropped every subject and came home to get medical treatment) this coming Monday on 2^nd of June 2008. But this time, I’m doing my internship near home. My office is only about 10 minutes drive from home (It’s actually only like 5 minutes drive if you minus the traffic lights). I think I’m going to like it there. Hopefully. I’m anxious to start work. I will have to bring my own PC/laptop again, but I don’t mind really. Because I know I will be more comfortable with my own PC/laptop.

On another note, I fell again today at Puduraya on those steep steps going down to the platforms. Yes, those steps. It was a lot of steps and I think I might have hurt myself pretty bad though the bruises are not visible yet. Another impact on my bones and only 2 days away from my internship? Right. Very nice. I could have sworn I thought that I would fell all the way down to the end of the steps. Thank God I didn’t or I might be in a hospital right now. My feet are starting to swell and it’s still hurting. I guess it’s time to get some ice and get some rest. It’s going to be a long day tomorrow tidying up my stuff and my room. And judging by that fall and with this pain, I’m gonna need it.

OH! Hello!

Hi! As you can see, this is my first entry for this blog (Duh!). Well if you have been to my previous blogs, I’d say welcome back to my frequent ramblings. If you’re a first-timer, then I’d say; Welcome to my blog.

So I’m a little excited about this new entry. I bet you can guess why I’m excited. It’s my first entry in my first new shiny WP blog! Yippie yay! I’m currently at a Kopitiam in Shah Alam. Ecstatic about my new blog, after work I just can’t wait to upload my first ever entry in this blog. Mind you, it’s been a while since I’ve blog. Err… a while? It’s been like almost 4 months? I’d say that’s long enough for someone who used to be a “bloggerholic” and who loves to write. Don’t you?

It’s my third week doing internship now and the workloads are piling up. Not that I‘m complaining or anything but methinks that work = no social life. And here I thought being an advertising design student has had its disadvantages. Imagine working as an advertising designer.

Oh look at me, first entry and I’m already whining. What would you think of me?

Oh well, IDK. I’m a whiner. So what? Haha.
