The Birthday Girl

A very happy belated birthday to my dear best friend, Wani who turned 22 on 4th of November 2008

No, I did not forget her birthday nor did I missed it. I’m just wishing her now on my blog because I’m only updating it now.

**WARNING: Long post ahead with lots and I do mean LOTS of pictures! Only proceed if you’re willing to be bored by them *grins* **

On Saturday, I texted her boyfriend asking him whether he’s planned anything at all for her birthday.

So together with Ezzat (the bf), Zana (her good friend from Poly) and me we planned a surprised birthday bash for my dearest BFF of 10 years to be held at T.G.I.F Johor Bahru @ JOTIC. Quite surprisingly, both the bf and me had the same idea of celebrating her birthday at TGIF.

Thanks to Totin for her information about TGIF. Apparently I wouldn’t have needed it because the moment we stepped into TGIF holding a box of cake, the waiter immediately asked us if we’re having a birthday celebration and that he would take care of it. A very, very good service indeed.

So the story goes like this…

Sharp at 12 AM 4th of November my alarm started going off reminding me of my BFF’s birthday and I decided not to wish her happy birthday as part of the surprised. The plan was that I was supposed to go out at 8.30 PM that night and pick up Zana along the way to TGIF.

But at 8.30 PM - I was not ready yet and Ezzat was already harassing me to get out quickly as he was afraid if he stalled she would realised that something’s up. I told him to do whatever it takes to stall because I need more time.

8.45 PM - (A record made: I managed to put on a full make up for 15 minutes only) I got out of the house and rushed to pick up Zana first (Thank God her house was on the way to TGIF). I hit about almost every humps on the road because I was rushing and didn’t see the damn humps because the road was dark. Damn you, MBJB. Put more lights on the roads please la wei!

8.55 PM - Ezzat called asking me about my whereabouts and I told him I’m almost reaching Bukit Saujana (where Zana lived. Also where I used to live) and thank God my BFF have just arrived to pick him.

9.10 PM - We were already seated at the non-smoking section and then we ordered some drinks while waiting for the couple to arrive.

9.20 PM - Ezzat arrived alone and we were like… “Why are you alone?? Where’s the birthday girl??”

So Mama decided to treat me yesterday since this was my first time to complete Syawal fasting and along with it, my Ramadhan ’s qada’ fasting.

And guess what? She gave me a treat of Murtabak Singapura

Murtabak Singapura

No, the murtabak is from a stall in JB, not from Singapore but yeah, the name’s Murtabak Singapura because it’s originated from there I guess.

Haha. It suddenly feels like I’m a child all over again; completing fasting, getting rewards. Well, it sure is rewarding. Ehem, not the murtabak obviously but it’s the smile and happiness shown across mama’s face that is.

She looked at me as if I’m all grown up (not that I’m not, mind you) and responsible (again, not that I’m not). It’s just because I’ve always complained to Mr Akib how my parents always treated me like I’m still a teenager when in fact I’m going to be 22 this December. So it’s really great when mama finally realises that I can take care of myself, be responsible and are all grown up.

Thank you, ma

I love you :)

I’ve finally got the time to fix my blog. But internet is still going haywire. I’ve called Celcom and now I’m just going to have to wait for their technician to call me back.

And I’ve also updated my portfolio page with my freelance Copywriting works. Feel free to browse through.

Also, thanks to my dear blog friend; Abah who introduced the NextGEN Gallery to me. For without his suggestion I would’ve never been able to finish this. Though there’s something wrong with the plug-in I think. It’s not working like yours la Abah. :( Tapi takpe, at least it’s still working.

I’m dead bored without my series fix; Gossip girl, Smallville, 90210, Lipstick Jungle, CSI: Miami, Criminal Minds, Crusoe, Merlin, The Mentalist and America’s Next Top Model Cycle 11 (I know, that’s a lot).

Damn you, Celcom Broadband! There’ll be lots of catching up to do when I go back to Cyberjaya I swear!

I’m sorry. I know, I know, this is the third entry with complaints on Celcom Broadband.

But I can’t help it.

I want my series fix! *pouts*

And I want my fast internet connection like before! *stamps feet*

Oh btw, I’m getting pretty active at YouthSays. Do you know that they are the ones who organizes the event YOUTH’08?

Yeah, well I’m getting free passes to go to the YOUTH’09.

What about you? *winks*

Alrightey. Nitey nites.

Toodles~

So what happened these past few days as I procrastinate myself more even with the internet super-slow connection?

Hmm… Let me see…

Mr Akib came home for a few days last Friday.

We did nothing in particular on Friday but we hung out on Saturday till 3 A.M. at my crib.

Yes, till 3 A.M. and I have parental supervision.

My mother would prefer it if I hang out at home rather than going out until late at night. So, to avoid from being nagged about coming home late, I’d rather stay home anyway.

At least it’s more peaceful for us to talk :)

And then on Sunday, we both attend Syawal Open Houses around JB and then at night we had a big fight.

On Monday, we went out to Danga Bay and hung out at Danga Bay Beach Club while watching the live band perform there. Fantastic performances by them.

Among other things that we watched there was; Malay, Muslim people drinking beer almost all around us.

I was disgusted to watch them drink.

And we hung out till it was 1 A.M. and he sent me home.

Today, we went out for my break fast (yes, buka puasa) cum dinner. My aunt’s treat. She passed her JPJ driving test this morning and wants to celebrate with her family.

And then after that we went to Jusco Tebrau for a bit, Mr Akib wants to get his phone back from his sister before he goes back to Shah Alam at 11 P.M.

Then we went to Watson’s to get my eyeliner and lip balm since I’m running out of both.

And after that we went to pick his mother up from work at 9 P.M. head for his home and I waited while he packed and we got out at around 10 something and reached Larkin Central at 10.50 P.M. and I bid Mr Akib goodbye with a promise that I’ll be back in Cyberjaya by the end of the week.

**I’m writing in a monotone. It feels stupid. I feel stupid. Heck, you should be feeling like I’m stupid too. Ha ha.**

Anyways, I did something bad. Well not bad per se. More like, something stupid (again? Yeah, with Nanie, there’ll always be stupid, stupid things happening around her).

Now you see, I was under the impression that I’m going back this weekend or Friday to be exact since I’m moving into a new room and I can only do that during office hours.

So I’ve started planning on what to get for the groceries shopping, what to pack since it’s my final two trimesters and I don’t want to have to carry a whole house back to JB and I’ve even planned plans for the weekends like; going picnic with my friends at Ulu Yam and going to watch HSM3 with Mr Akib.

And not until just now that I looked up at my time table and take a look at the Trimester planner did I realise that my classes starts on November 10th instead of what I thought which was November 3rd.

I had the date mixed up 10 and 01 because I first thought that I’m going back on the 1st.

Apparently, my classes start on the 10th and I’m supposed to go back on 7th.

Make sense? No? Well just work with me here. I’m too stressed out to explain anyway.

So now, I’ve had everybody and I mean literally everybody on my schedule that I’ll be going back this weekend.

And now that I’ve realised that I won’t be going back this weekend, I’m going to have a difficult situation trying to explain to everyone especially to Mr Akib whom I’ve promised to be in his arms by this Friday.

Aaaannnddd… Now I’ll be missing him so much because I can’t see him this weekend.

*cries*

*sigh*

No, I didn’t cry. I almost did. But I didn’t.

Oh crap. Whatever, Nanie. Just get on with it.

At least now I don’t have to rush into things like; packing, renewing my driving license, shopping for groceries and etcetera etcetera.

Oh well, this is what I get when I’ve no Study Planner (didn’t get the chance to buy it since I was in JB), not going to classes, nor living in the confines area of MMU.

And I’ve never been this… erm… okay; I’ve no word for it. I wanted to use “disorganise”… but I’ve never been THAT organised anyway.

On the bright side, I’ll have more time to prepare myself mentally and physically.

Okay, I’m wiped out.

I’ll see ya when I see ya!

Toodles~

P/S: Internet is still ever f*cking slow. It takes forever just to load the dashboard. I’ll be living boring hell at home if I’m going to stay here another week since I can’t download my favourite series anymore without it hacking my connection speed. F*ck you Celcom Broadband! I’ve been promoting you too much to people to deserve this shitty connection!
