Went to the PC fair last weekend at Persada Johor or in a more glamorous manner called; Johor International Convention Centre.
I think that was the first time that I went to a PC Fair and actually bought stuff. A lot of stuff.
A little expensive than the PC Fair at KL but hey, at least it’s cheaper than usual.
I bought:
- New Logitech keyboard (the old one went haywire)
- New Corsair 2GB DDR2 RAM
- New Kingston 4GB Pendrive in Fuschia Pink
- Keyboard vacuum
- Car MP3 Modulator
Things that I wanted to bought but had to put on hold because I have no budget/it’s not important/it just didn’t feel right buying it at that time:
- ASUS Lightscribe DVD Combo (Normal Price: RM150+ PC Fair Price: RM99)
- A REALLY good headphone (Price on display: RM88 Discounted Price: RM65 f*ck!)
- 250GB SATA Hard disk (As said by Mr Akib “Dah tak cukup space ke yang ade sekarang ni?” English Translation: “Is there not enough space anymore with your corrent hard disks?”) Total size of current hard disk: 310GB ^_^
- A smacking new 22″ monitor Samsung/Viewsonic (Price during PC Fair: RM900+ money that was in hand: RM400 LOL.)
- A laptop folder in HOT PINK! (Price during PC Fair: RM38 still a tad too expensive. No?)
-
And last but not least my current obsession………
THIS SPANKING PHILIPS MMS 430 PC MULTIMEDIA SPEAKER SYSTEM

Hot isn’t it?
The awesomeness of its sound can make me melt of the spot.
If I’d have enough money by the time I got to the speakers corner I would’ve totally buy this little beauty.
Let me explain briefly about the sound itself.
Our first stop was the Sonic Gear area. Being an obsessive Sonic Gear fan (I have 3 version of Sonic gear speakers currently: EGO, Blue Thunder and Apocalypse Special Edition with an Amplifier) I should be intrigued by Sonic Gear but not this time. I find that the woofer does not deliver the bass up to my standard. Cewah.
Then we walked ahead towards Altec Lansing when lo and behold we heard this beautiful, solid, strong sound of basses coming from a shelf of Philips speakers, yep a shelf. (The other brands have at least 3 shelves each)
Mr Akib and I both stopped dead and we just never wanted to leave that area. The bass coming from that little, yes, little speaker is sooo beautiful and the most powerful yet that even Altec Lansing could not compete with. Even Mr Akib said so (he’s an Altec fan)
Yes, I’m a nerd. I’m a computer geek. I love shopping for PC stuff as much as I love shopping for clothes and accessories. But I’m proud of it. Because guys view me in a different perspective, girls envy me and with that, I can never be a bimbo. LOL.
After the PC Fair, I’ve decided that I need to have a wishlist for me to check upon every now and then. You can check out my new wishlist page *hint2* here.
I guess that’s about it.
Toodloo~
