A very happy belated birthday to my dear best friend, Wani who turned 22 on 4th of November 2008

No, I did not forget her birthday nor did I missed it. I’m just wishing her now on my blog because I’m only updating it now.

On Saturday, I texted her boyfriend asking him whether he’s planned anything at all for her birthday.

So together with Ezzat (the bf), Zana (her good friend from Poly) and me we planned a surprised birthday bash for my dearest BFF of 10 years to be held at T.G.I.F Johor Bahru @ JOTIC. Quite surprisingly, both the bf and me had the same idea of celebrating her birthday at TGIF.

Thanks to Totin for her information about TGIF. Apparently I wouldn’t have needed it because the moment we stepped into TGIF holding a box of cake, the waiter immediately asked us if we’re having a birthday celebration and that he would take care of it. A very, very good service indeed.

So the story goes like this…

Sharp at 12 AM 4^th of November my alarm started going off reminding me of my BFF’s birthday and I decided not to wish her happy birthday as part of the surprised. The plan was that I was supposed to go out at 8.30 PM that night and pick up Zana along the way to TGIF.

But at 8.30 PM - I was not ready yet and Ezzat was already harassing me to get out quickly as he was afraid if he stalled she would realised that something’s up. I told him to do whatever it takes to stall because I need more time.

8.45 PM - (A record made: I managed to put on a full make up for 15 minutes only) I got out of the house and rushed to pick up Zana first (Thank God her house was on the way to TGIF). I hit about almost every humps on the road because I was rushing and didn’t see the damn humps because the road was dark. Damn you, MBJB. Put more lights on the roads please la wei!

8.55 PM - Ezzat called asking me about my whereabouts and I told him I’m almost reaching Bukit Saujana (where Zana lived. Also where I used to live) and thank God my BFF have just arrived to pick him.

9.10 PM - We were already seated at the non-smoking section and then we ordered some drinks while waiting for the couple to arrive.

9.20 PM - Ezzat arrived alone and we were like… “Why are you alone?? Where’s the birthday girl??”

9.25 PM – Ezzat texted my BFF asking her to come up. He had asked her to wait in the car telling her that he’s meeting his friend to pass him something. And then he went to get her. Apparently the birthday girl was sulking as none of us (her closest friends and even her bf) had really wished her a happy birthday yet as part of the surprise.

9.45 PM – The couple finally came back and guess what? Hell, she was surprised to see us there. As soon as she walked near our table and turned her head around, she stopped dead on her track and started pinching and hitting her bf calling him a liar while she half-smiled. At that moment we (Zana and me) couldn’t control ourselves anymore that we laughed at her

9.50 PM – Everyone settled in and I must say that despite the sulky face and the pouts my BFF put on, I knew that she was really happy

10.00 PM – We ordered our foods. And while waiting, the birthday girl gets to open her present from her beloved boyfriend

10.15 PM – The appetizers arrived.

11.00 PM – The cake came out and the birthday girl had to sing her favourite song and guess what song did she sang? Twinkle, twinkle little stars….. (=.=) I know… and then the staff of TGIF sang her a happy birthday song and we pack up the cake as TGIF is already closing and we’re all freaking full and we left around 11.20PM

All in all, I must say good service from TGIF JOTIC, JB. The food was good too except for my Sizzling Chicken and Cheese chicken which was kinda dry. But thanks to the staff for turning the night into a real birthday bash.

Thanks to Ezzat and Zana for making this happen although it was kinda of a last minute plan. I had fun although it was a small celebration that comprises of only four people. Who cares? As long as we had fun and managed to give the birthday girl a really HAPPY BIRTHDAY *wink*

And to my dearest BFF: Happy birthday dear! May our friendship lasts another 10 years and beyond. Dah tua dah ye kakkkk… ehehehe

Disclaimer: I was the official photographer of that night as you can see there were not so many of my face in the pictures. Pictures are taken with my Canon EOS 350D DSLR that’s still working wonders. I don’t own a speed light so what I did was I turned on my flash and wrapped a napkin around it to control the flash. The final picture was taken using my Lumix FZ12.
