An Artistic Journey

Here’s a sneak preview at what I am currently busy doing at the moment:

Before

You must be wondering why in the world is there only one wing?

Well, that’s because once traced I can copy and reflect the wing

That way, the wing can both look equally the same.

After

This was a hard one I tell ya.

But the finished result turned out foiiinnneee… Haha

You can say I’m a little overwhelmed by my first real (drawn by hand by me and then traced in AI) vector illustration that turned out pretty well.

Not that I’ve never done vector before. They have just never been 100% sketched, drawn, scanned and traced by me properly.

Inspired by Barbie Mariposa (is that the title? I think it is) the concept was… duh, fairies of course, cute, and with colours to match.

So, until I can finally put my mind to rest about this, I don’t think I’ll be blogging as frequently as I used to.

Meanwhile, why don’t you drop me some comments on what you think about it?

Constructive criticisms are welcomed.

Bf is working for this event held at KLCC starting tomorrow with his fellow classmates.

I sure am going to miss him…

And his birthday!

Earlier today I told him…

Since I want him to go but I do not want to miss celebrating his birthday, I’ve decided to surprise him just now.

We went for dinner at Secret Recipe, my treat and I secretly asked the staff there to serve a cake for dessert with one candle on it.

After meal, I asked for the cake and bf’s first impression was…

“Whose birthday are we celebrating?” With a weird look on his face.

Naturally my answer was…

“You of course!”

“We’re celebrating your upcoming birthday because I don’t want to miss celebrating it.”

He was touched and surprised by the surprise (duh?) that he couldn’t stop smiling all night and that was enough to put a smile on my face all night too.

I took some pictures in order to commemorate this glorious day.

The cake: Mango Delight (his favourite flavour)

I guess they were unable to make the cake stand. Thus, the lying down angle. Haha.

When after the guy (I’m guessing the owner of the restaurant) put the fork beside the cake, I looked up to thank him when I saw that he was looking at us and had this meaningful smile on his face like he was happy to see us happy celebrating together at his restaurant.

And I shall huff and I puff and I’ll blow err…. the candle away?
