WARNING: This post will be TMTH (Too Much To Handle) by some. :P

Ok… So I’ve wanted to do this for days.

But my hand, shoulder, head and whatever else that is hurting has prevented me from doing so.

Last weekend, my bf and I went swimming; our carbs-burning ritual that was last done probably in mid 2007. Yup, we love to swim and it’s actually one of the only sports that we can do together. Properly. I mean, if we jog I would probably end up being left behind by him. But if we swam, I can catch up with him or maybe even beat him. :P

The next day, we went for lunch at Alamanda, Putrajaya. Guess what we found at the Alamanda food court? Lo and behold, a new cafe. The cafe’s setting was cute. The atmosphere was great and I got so fascinated with the new cafe that I had to drop in and have a look at it. It just a small cafe located at the side of the food court but a very nice cafe mostly selling cakes and chocolates. I saw a lot of people browsing and buying cakes that I had to go and see it. When I arrive at the counter, I saw lots of chocolate cakes and one strawberry cake all looking sinfully tempting.

A guy then came with a platter of small pieces of cakes on it and chocolates for us to have a taste of them. Apparently they’ve just opened about a week and what used to be their kiosk in front of Bata and Reject Shop (I think) has now been replaced by Dunkin’ Donuts. They are originally a chocolate manufacturer and 90% of their products are imported to the Middle East. The cafe’s name is Theodorma Cafe. I’m not sure if it’s right but please, correct me if I’m wrong.

I can tell you that we fell in love with their strawberry cake with just that one tiny bite. I can assure you that it is soft and supple and it melts in your mouth! The cake tastes like ice-cream which in this case is not stored in a freezer because it’s not even an ice-cream cake! The taste of their cakes and chocolates are just nice. You know how you always feel the need to drink plain water because the chocolate or the cake that you ate is just too sweet and it hurts your throat? Well, this one is the other way around. It tastes sooo delicious that you wouldn’t dare waste it and wash it away. It is THAT yummy. Now stop drooling people… there’s more :P
What’s more is that the size of the cake is almost like Secret Recipe’s (the big ones) but the taste are about 5 times more delicious. This I know because I have been a fan of Secret Recipe’s cakes for years now. I was not a cake lover until Secret Recipe and now I love cakes even more!

So now back to my weekend… Oops, now, now. Did you really think I’d leave you drooling with no scrumptious looking pictures? I wanted to shoot with my digicam but the manager was around and I know some people wouldn’t like us taking pictures of their products and stuff. But I managed to capture a few with my beloved hand phone (before it fell the next 2 days and totally blanked out on me until today). So the pictures are a bit off angle and blurry here and there (sebab kelam-kabut nak ambik gamba) but trust me, you can still see the textures of the cake. *wink2*

Look at the presentation. And yes, it is served that way and not for display only. You can eat the whole plate if you’d like.

The top view of the cake! Whee… yummy… scrumptious! AND it’s only RM5.90/piece. It’s tasty and it’s reasonably priced! What’s not to like?

So if you’re wondering where the cafe is; it is located at the Alamanda RASA food court next to Esprit. It’s a bit hidden so you’re going to have to make your way around Esprit and THEN, you will find it. (*thanks to Orell for pointing out that he couldn’t find the cafe just now :P )

I guess that’s it for now. If you ever drop by the cafe, do tell me what you think about it. I know that not everyone is going to like it… But hey, there’s no harm trying right? :)

Toodloo~
