VISTA IS OFFICIALLY MAKING MY LIFE A LIVING HELL!!

I never thought I would rant about Vista on my blog. It makes me look like a dork!

Not that I’m not one. I just don’t want to look like one. Get it?

But here’s the thing… this is the first time I ever got to use an original OS which happens to be Windows Vista. You can’t blame me for getting excited. I did ask the laptop manufacturer if maybe, just maybe, I could get an XP instead of Vista. But the lappy came with Vista already installed in it with the backup driver (also with Vista in it!). Besides, they say that it’s built for Vista so even if I did install XP in it, it might be unstable. So it leaves me no choice.

So at first I tried using Vista. It seems good until it came to the part where I have to approve each and every change that I made in MY OWN FRIGGIN’ laptop! Now not only I have to approve it once, I would usually have to do it twice! And not just that, if I ever want to install software in my laptop… I have to find the ones that are COMPATIBLE with Vista. Mind you, it’s not easy finding “that kind of software” nowadays, if you know what I mean.

Being a designer is a bit demanding on the software part especially where I have to have the whole Adobe’s clan and 3Ds software and lots of other more software that I’m too lazy to list out. So anyway, as if that wasn’t hard enough, my laptop got attacked by a stupid friggin’ virus the other day which resulted to the formatting routine. But guess what happened after formatting my laptop? I couldn’t install a single darn Adobe’s software in it which after 3 weeks I found out why when a guy who works at the CD store where I bought my software tried explaining. So I bought another Vista Ultimate just in case what he told me to do didn’t work out. I tried formatting again, voila! My laptop is now ok.

So… you’re probably thinking right now “so why in the world are you complaining about Vista?”

Wait for it.

Me, being a total idiot, formatted MY PC which I currently use in my office (Yes, I have to bring my own PC to work) with Vista. (Ok, you can hit me now. If you ever can get a hold of me :P) and until today, I’m still working out on how to view the stupid files in the Temporary Internet Files folder that Microsoft feels the need to bury 6 feet under (security reasons my A$$)!!! Despite the fact that it was bury 6 feet under, after googling for TWO friggin’ DAYS I finally cracked it open! Yay!!! But my smile faded when…

I STILL CAN’T FIND THE FILES THAT I’M LOOKING FOR!!!!!!

So now I’m back to square one.

And…

I…

Give…

Up…

The first thing on Monday, I’m going to format my PC, throw the Vista CD into a REAL RECYCLING BIN (in which - THANK GOD - that I don’t have to ask permission from myself to get approval to throw my OWN stuff) and live a “permission-free-life” like I used to with my beloved PC.

FIN.

I’ve been away for too long. I had to take a leave for 2 weeks from both internship and life.

So now when I’m back at work, I have plenty of work to keep me busy for another two weeks.

But before someone comes and put a time bomb on my blog (*hint2* Sape la orgnye tu…) , I think I better do some updating…

About 2-3 years ago, I went to A’Famosa Water World with a former friend. We got onto this slide and during the sliding process I lost balanced and fell HARD and hit my right shoulder on the slide. Unfortunately when we went to the hospital there was a big emergency case and we had to wait for more than 2 hours. Since I couldn’t stand the pain, we decided to go to a local clinic. But my hand didn’t hurt so bad after taking the medications and resting I assume that there was no problem with it.

Or so I thought.

Untill the day that my shoulder started hurting last month. At first I thought it’s because I was tired. But the pain went on down until my fingers went numb one day. I kept seeing doctors after doctors after doctors until one day my mother asked me to go for a massage and unfortunately for me, the pain got a lot more worse and it was hurting like hell I feel like my shoulder is going to fell off my hand. So my boyfriend dragged me (I didn’t want to go) to the hospital and they treated me as an emergency because I got in right away. Turns out, it was the bone at my neck. I didn’t know what it was called or what was the problem back then. But the doctor gave me MC for a week, gave me a referral letter for the Orthopaedic Dept., and lots of medications.

Guess when is my Ortho appointment? 3 months away from the day. Heck, I thought. I couldn’t wait that long! It’s hurting too much! So I went back, my boyfriend’s mother, asked for some help from her friends/relatives who’s an orthopaedician. I got my appointment straight away. I am currently suffering from something that they called an Early Cervical Spondylosis. It’s common to happen to people ageing 50 years and above. But me? I’m only 21!! So, I don’t know really what’s the cause of it. The specialist didn’t tell me. Except for the fact that I am now not allowed to sleep with a pillow and I that I have a Physiology follow up every single week. Mind you, I have to do the physio exercise too at least 3 times a day.

So there you go.

My update.

Maka, tolonglah jangan bom blog saye. :D

Toodles!

So I got bored. I watched the movies. Got bored halfway through the movies, I played the games on my laptop and boy, oh boy… I didn’t realise there were so many games available in this laptop. Haha.

And somehow other people would have been excited by getting a new laptop and might I say that usually people would browse through all the programs first and have a look at what games that is available. Not me though.

You see, one of the weird things about me is that I hardly ever play games and it’s really hard for me to find a game that could entertain me. Exception made of course for The Sims 2 and all of its expansion packs. But can also easily get bored after playing it for a while. Like the game Chuzzle that I played just now for instance. At first I thought it was fun and rather cute. But after about 15 minutes or so, I sort of got tired of it.

Well, since we’re on the subject, another thing that I find pretty much weird about me is that I like to read pamphlets, catalogue, flyers, etc of whatever is related to shopping and here’s another weird thing about it is that I don’t browse through the catalogues and whatnots because I want to shop or because I want to shop. But I would actually just browse through the pamphlets to see what’s on it and then that’s it. I have no intention to buy stuff that’s on it unless I really need it or want it for that matter. Sometimes I would browse through it again just in case if I missed anything. Honestly, though I’m ashamed to admit this but when I come home and there are so many pamphlets and catalogues, I would take my time to lounge with a drink and have a look at each and every pamphlet.

On another note; I’ve taken sometime (out of my boredom) to summarize my wish list for the year of 2007. Though I know it’s kind of late to summarize the list, but here it is; my wish list of 2007 and some that have not been fulfilled, I’d bring it to this year’s wish list:
